SolutionsIQ Managing Consultant

Do you enjoy collaborating with clients to define and implement solutions related to corporate strategy, organizational change, and project and portfolio performance based on an understanding of their challenges and business needs? SolutionsIQ, a leading provider of Agile consulting, training, and distributed Agile software development, is looking for Managing Consultants to lead organizational change and business transformation initiatives.

Ideal candidates have experience in conducting organization-wide Agile adoption, a history of working on one or more Agile teams, project and program management experience, formal business case development expertise, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Responsibilities

Engagement procurement and expansion:

  • Participate in new business development activity with the SolutionsIQ sales team
  • Develop client proposals and SOWs in conjunction with SolutionsIQ business stakeholders and service providers
  • Actively seek and secure engagement expansion and extension opportunities
  • Monitor and manage client expectations and customer satisfaction

Engagement delivery:

  • Act as the engagement manager responsible for SOWs and contractual commitments
  • Conduct client needs assessments
  • Work with client executives to define and manage programs associated with Agile and Lean organization change, process improvement, and project and portfolio enhancement
  • Work collaboratively with other SolutionsIQ team members to design and enhance SolutionsIQ service offerings

Key responsibilities may also include:

  • Identify, build, and fulfill successful client solutions, working collaboratively across SolutionsIQ's service line and operating groups
  • Manage all day-to-day aspects of each client engagement
  • Help identify and develop client relationships and new business opportunities
  • Manage engagements of various sizes (sometimes concurrently), with responsibility for financial performance and customer satisfaction
  • Deliver insightful analysis and candid recommendations under ambiguous and politically challenging circumstances. Present analysis and recommendations to clients, from day-to-day contacts up to C-level management
  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and agencies
  • Contribute to practice development by participating in improvement initiatives and augmenting intellectual capital
  • Train/mentor other consultants

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%, with occasional international travel.
  • Demonstrated interest in and basic familiarity with Agile and/or lean principles and practices
  • Minimum 5 years as a consultant, including leading multi-party, multi-month engagements
  • Minimum 5 years of working with organizational change, project portfolio management, business process improvement or large program design and management
  • Bachelor’s degree

Desired Experience

  • Experience in conducting organization-wide Agile adoption
  • History of working on one or more Agile teams
  • Project and program management expertise
  • Experience conducting gap analyses
  • Formal business case development expertise
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration
  • Deep domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Organizational change management
    • Business process improvement
    • Project portfolio management
    • Program definition and management
