Applying Empathy To Design Thinking

Design Thinking is the latest buzzword to define how to research a problem and solutioning around how to solve the problem. For product manager at Scaled Agile, Jennifer Fawcett, design thinking takes a human cognitive experience perspective: what makes consumers happy, sad and how can it impact their day-to-day lives.

Fawcett says that what drives a product manager is constant curiosity – “how we can get better, how we can grow and how we can continuously contribute to this world”. We will always have our own personal bias and need to see the world from someone else’s perspective to improve their experience with products. Empathy helps you nurture.
