Dean Anderson: “Leaders Either Enable or Block Change” – with Agile Amped at ACMP2016

Being First has focused on designing and leading transformational change for 40 years. CEO Dean Anderson has been watching Agile grow in the past decade or so and has come to recognize its value. Dean says that change management and Agile share similar values and philosophies in “how to drive high performance in individuals, teams and organizations”. In his work, Dean focuses primarily on two areas: leadership mindset and behaviors and the process design for the transformation journey. On the topic of leadership and change he says, “There’s a direct correlation between the success of the organization’s transformation and the transformation of the leadership, because they’re either enabling or blocking the transformation.” Therefore an organization’s transformation truly begins when the leadership and executives are aware of the change they themselves have to experience on an individual level.
