Christophe De Boeck has spent most of his professional career in the Ops environment in Belgium and New Zealand. Out of his passion for people, he started looking for different ways to improve well-being in the workplace and came to the conclusion that our new ways of working require a different leadership style: the servant leader.
As a leader, it’s important to set a clear objective, but then get out of the way of the smart people around you to get there. Engagement surveys show a very low engagement level from people who are being told what to do, and very high engagement when people can control their own work.
Most importantly, a leader must first think about serving others rather than themselves.
