Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day, and this has made me reflect on my career, my journey as a wife, mother, friend, Agilist and more. In my path there have been highs and lows, opportunities and obstacles that forced me to course correct – and I am humbled and excited about the future.
I recently sat down with my colleague, Roxi Ozolins, to discuss my personal and professional journey, the challenges and achievements that have brought me to where I am today. My hope is that by sharing my story here, women will be able to appreciate their own journey, and feel comfortable in their own skin as I feel today. It’s important to have these types of honest conversations about the challenges we face as women, so we can overcome them and so our male counterparts know how they can support us.
We all have an important part to play in transforming the world, and building a better future. Together we can make a difference, and for me that is a mission worth fighting for! Bringing our unique and diverse backgrounds together will have an impact that is greater than anything we can imagine. I hope you enjoy this Agile Amped podcast and look forward to doing all I can to influence the next generation as we work to create a more balanced future.
