As 2020 continues to evolve and bubble – like red-hot lava destroying existing platforms and building new ones. Humanity’s place in “navigating NEXT” is becoming clearer: people and business need to move from suboptimization in one area – whether that is work at the team organization, societal and even governmental levels – to focusing instead on addressing structural issues. The global pandemic has revealed the broken infrastructure that pits business goals against human goals. But a shift is happening. Accenture recently released new research on how migrating to the cloud isn’t just good for business, it makes for “a greener planet and a greener balance sheet.”
And it’s more than that.
People are fighting for reforms and making business care about communities and human goals and wellbeing again. There are countless examples of how communities are coming together to champion human rights and to act in the face of global climate change. People – not government or business – are bringing the change. That is why we believe that “Humanity is the Future of Business” – so much so that this was our rally cry for the completely virtual Global SAFe Summit, on October 27 and 28.
Accenture | SolutionsIQ continues to find ways to bring business agility to the world, motivated in no small part by the equitability that agile businesses, which are human-centric and systems-focused, embed in their products, their values, and their interactions.
The theme for this year’s conference was “Navigating NEXT” and we were excited to have four speakers presenting a range of topics (see below) of how scaling agility with SAFe can help businesses find their way to a more equitable and profitable future.

Without a modern concept of value, there can be no Business Agility! The term “value” is a focus at many organizational levels during a transformation. However, it is rarely defined accurately or consistently enough to promote and measure progress. In fact, the lack of understanding around value can actually derail the transformation. In the session, I will offer examples of anti-patterns in defining value as well as provide a Lean-Agile oriented definition and characteristics.
Presented by Malte Kumlehn (Accenture | SAP Practice Group), Thomas Karl (Accenture | SolutionsIQ), and Peter Pedross (PEDCO, Inc)
