As the Director of Consulting Operations, Troy Plant ensures that our clients have the right Agile consultants selected for their engagements. It is Troy’s responsibility to ensure the alignment of the client’s needs, the consultant’s skills, and the consultant’s passion areas. This requires significant collaboration with the sales team and an intimate understanding of our consulting landscape. With 150+ consultants and counting, he has the largest understanding of what our organization is capable of.
As a leader to our consultant community, Troy mentors our Engagement Leads on best practices of balancing the needs of the client, consultant, and organization. He works with them on how to lead coaching teams and ensure engagement profitability.
Troy joined the SolutionsIQ team in 2015 as a part of the Davisbase Consulting acquisition, where he was previously Managing Director of Delivery. Troy’s agile journey started at Pearson Education, where he had the opportunity to move abroad to Oxford, England to help launch their Agile transformation. Upon returning to the U.S., he moved into the consulting space and leadership roles.
Troy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University in his native Ohio. He’s an active in the Agile community in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ, and volunteers his time at church. Troy also loves travel hacking, outdoors, photography, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
